This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of innovators and shape the future of technology. You will interact with many engineers, architects, and executives to build comprehensive plans to ensure successful delivery of major innovations in future software and hardware designsTHE PERSON:This dynamic role will require a balance of technical aptitude, organizational skills and strong communication Skills. You will be the main interface driving strategic technology enablement with customer engineering teams. The position requires a highly collaborative mindset, exceptional communication skills and ability to present to and engage with stakeholders and leaders at multiple levels.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own the planning and delivery of different AMD SW products, through coordination with engineering and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Program manages cross-functional teams, influencing and supervising the overall ecosystem workflow, and forging positive relationships with various teams within and outside of AMD
  • Track the program and provide regular updates on progress, risk and issues
  • Evangelize Agile methodology and mentor future Scrum Masters on the team
  • Strong documentation and communication skills will be called upon frequently, especially in delivering streamlined, clear, and concise information to cross-functional stakeholders
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Combination of strong technical background with interest in Program/Project Management
  • Understanding of computer architecture with exposure to device drivers, firmware and/or graphics technology
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, PowerBI or other planning tools an asset.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Excel an asset
  • Experience with Agile methodology
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • PMP Certified is a plus
