- Conduct in-depth feasibility studies for new Ethernet switch products using Broadcom SoCs and SDKs.
- Evaluate and integrate BSP components, including bootloaders, device trees, and low-level drivers.
- Analyze and assess BMC firmware requirements, architecture, and integration strategies.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and system architects to define product requirements and technical specifications.
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies during the early design phase.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers during the prototyping and bring-up stages.
- Interface with Broadcom and other third-party vendors to align on platform capabilities and roadmap.
- Document findings, design decisions, and feasibility outcomes in a clear and structured manner.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, with at least 3 years in a principal or lead role.
- Proven experience with Broadcom Ethernet switch platforms and SDKs (e.g., Broadcom SDKLT, OpenNSL).
- Hands-on experience with BMC/OpenBMC firmware, including IPMI, Redfish, and OpenBMC or AMI solutions.
- Understanding of BSP development, including U-Boot, Linux kernel, and device tree configuration.
- Proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with hardware bring-up, schematics, and board-level debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
