We invite you to join us, bringing your skills and expertise to contribute to achieving a smoke-free future.YOUR 'DAY TO DAY'You will be employed under Philip Morris Taiwan (PMTW). PMTW operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc., As a Senior Manager, Regulatory Communication, you will build, develop and implement short and long term communication plans related to stakeholder relations, external & internal communications, regulatory and governmental affairs in Taiwan.
You will supervise media and advise Management on local legislation, rules, cultural and societal norms and sensitivities, engage externally with government / legislative agencies and business partners, and with line management internally to create a positive environment, which enables the Company to achieve its business objectives.
  • Manage communication in the planning and development of strategic contribution programs, activities, and events aimed at supporting the business objectives, ensuring active employee participation, and taking the lead in executing contribution programs.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with local opinion leaders, decision-makers, media outlets, government organizations, and regulatory bodies at all levels of the decision-making process. Develop trustworthy partnerships with potential allies in the assigned market and work towards creating a positive business environment. Influence decision making and media coverage that impact the company.
  • In accordance with company policies, engage constructively with key governmental institutions at the national level to safeguard the business, effectively communicate the company's positions, and advocate for the adoption of reasonable regulations for tobacco products.
  • Identify market trends and analyze their impact on the business, enabling proactive measures to be taken in response to potential future changes in both the external and internal environment.
Who we're looking for!
  • University degree, preferably in communication, politics, law, government, or public policy.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in External Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Public Relations, or a legal environment within a multinational company.
  • Proven experience in networking with key opinion leaders, including those in central government, local government, decision-makers, media, etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of media and communication environments, Corporate Affairs issues, and positions.
  • Proven commercial competence, with a track record in strategic planning and business analysis.
  • Strong command of the English language.
