Location: TaipeiOur client in this search is a global leader in developing and producing fiber solutions for the apparel and hygiene industries.Role:
- Global ownership of core 3rd Party Polyester Fiber Technology and its use to drive value creation.
- Accountable to work with, and takes research orientation, from Global Marketing Leaders and Regional Commercial team to develop a robust 3rd Party Fiber innovation process and associated strategies to meet the growth objectives for future biz growth. Drive execution of various fiber differentiations to ensure they are completed on time and within implementation investments.
- Accountable to ensure product quality excellent and safely in compliance.
- Owns the IP strategy for these outsourced fiber businesses.
- Ensure that ongoing outsourcing operations are adequately staffed to ensure that product line differentiation/innovation goals quality and cost positions are met or exceeded, and alternative vendor sources of differentiation are evaluated as appropriate.
- To identify and manage risk in day-to-day business activities and strategic matters by being personally engaged in significant transactions and training the team in risk identification and mitigation.
- Drive robust solutions to quality issues and drive continuous improvement in product quality and suitability taking input from global TM&D and Sales teams whose customers use 3rd party produced products.
- Support to translate innovations into relevant global Brand Qualification standards.
- Managing trouble shootings and ensure investigation, result and corrective action can be delivered.
- Develop BSP technical team capability, retain and grow key talents.
- Advanced degree in textile or engineering related fields.
- Senior and Team leader experiences. (Section Chief, Plant Manager..)
- Understanding of polymer manufacturing process and working experiences in PES scope with solid knowledge experience in product operation, quality management and applications at least 10yrs or more.
- Aggressive working attitude and the sense with integrity.
- Has been deeply involved as team leader in product development or manufacturing support works.
- Experience on quality systems development in a high-quality polyester manufacturing facility (Staple, Filament and Bico yarn).
- Excellent presentation and communication skill.
- Fluent writing and speaking in English.
- Able to travel at least 30% of working time.
