- Executive the BIOS & BMC FW release test.
- New test case creation and maintain.
- Familiar with server architecture, able to setup the server test environment.
- Report defect via Bug tracking systems (Jira or Bugzilla)
- Able to create test scripts, optimize the test cases.
- Create SOP or documentation.
- Plan the test execution cycle based on FW release schedule.
- Support Engineering team to narrow down the test failed step, reproduce the issue or create the unit test cases.
- Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor Engineering Manager or Group Lead
- Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSRequired Job Competencies:TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS- Knowledge of BMC and BIOS FW test scope- Arrange and manage test planning cycle, control the test Leadtime- Ability to setup Server test environment, basic components knowledge.- Basic technical background to recognize, assess and communicate cross-functional issues and risks.- Good understanding of product development and manufacturing processes including test validation.- Experience using issue report systems (ie. Bugzilla, Jira).- Experience in Python Automation Framework (ie. Robot/Pytest/PyUnit) is a plus.- Experience in REST API (Redfish) automation using Python is a plus- Experience in web automation using Python is a plus.- Experience in tool development is a plus- Familiarity with Linux operations for Linux-based test cases.- Experience with GitLab/GitHub is a plus- Experience with Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or other DevOps tools is a plus- Knowledge of databases such as MYSQL, Elastic, etc. is a plus- Experience in data analysis, AI, big data, and machine learning is a plusRequired Job Competencies: (Non-Engr. Knowledge & Skills)LANGUAGE SKILLS- Effectively communicate with good understanding of English and local language. Ability to use English to descript / report the test failed symptoms and procedure. Able to join the meeting for the defect discussion in English.COMMUNICATION SKILLS- Influence others and share best practices.- Understand and meet customer needs and expectations.- Could smoothly to co-work with cross function team- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
