【工作內容】 Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in estimating, with at least 5 years of experience working on the shop floor in a fabrication facility
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external clients
  • Advanced proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
  • Position Summary: Responsible for reviewing all documents provided within a request for quote (RFQ) to develop a cost based selling price for said part/program that meets company profit objectives.Familiar with tools to develop winning bids include use of industry best practice machining methods, cut time calculators, CAM software, and ERP systems
  • As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in accurately assessing project costs and creating comprehensive bids for our clients
  • You will collaborate closely with our sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate pricing, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • The Estimator is responsible for the preparation of competitive, accurate, and profitable estimates for the fabrication of metal products
  • This role also involves handling inside sales inquiries (walk-ins, phone, online) and assisting customers with their sheet metal needs
  • Close interaction with management and coworkers on the production floor will be required
  • Evaluate the scope of work/RFQs from customers and determine if they are suited for the company
  • Read and analyze CAD files and prints to determine the best method of fabrication and ensure manufacturability
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Solidworks is required
  • Prepare material take-offs based on customer files, samples, or sketches
  • Source and price materials and subcontract work as needed to prepare estimates
  • Assign machine time and labor man-hours for the processing of work
  • Manage extras, change orders, and update estimates/orders as required
