As a Server FW Testing Engineer, your primary role will involve leveraging existing automation tools to conduct thorough testing across multiple platforms. You will also be identifying and resolving errors within the automation framework as well as the server system. Moreover, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the scope of automation tests to encompass new platforms, discovering new bugs and issues as well as proactive troubleshooting.Role and Responsibility:
- Utilize the available automation framework to enhance the quality of Server BIOS and BMC through effective testing.
- Identify and promptly communicate automation report errors to Automation or FW engineers, actively participating in the resolution process.
- Collaborate closely with Test Case Owners to clarify and resolve any ambiguity present in test cases, ensuring accurate and comprehensive testing.
- Conduct manual execution of new UEFI/BMC features before they are automated, ensuring their functionality and stability.
- Adapt and modify the automation framework modules to support new projects and make necessary adjustments to the behavior of existing test cases.
- Maintain Taipei FW team's lab.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated expertise with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in BIOS or BMC testing.
- Proficiency in coding using Python, Robot Framework, or bash scripts.
- Excellent written communication skills in English, enabling clear and effective expression of ideas and technical information. Good verbal communication skills are a plus.
