- Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties.
- Develops and monitors schedule performance metrics.
- Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements.
- Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule.
- Monitors and validates subcontractor schedules.
- Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements
- Applies established unit job hour LNG Tanks area or other specialty including estimating parameters, factors, indices, productivity, and craft distribution reference data.
- Performs integration of individual schedules into the total project plan.
- Performs schedule resource loading and leveling.
- Maintains open communications with other organizations to support schedule maintenance and reporting.
- Develops schedule recovery plans.
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 15-20 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to work with the project team and subcontractors to prepare, status and manage detailed Level 5 construction plans.
- Support resource loading physical work quantities by activity so that we can share with all the team members our planned quantities required for each week to achieve our plan, then help coordinate our weekly report showing how we performed the previous week (planned versus actual).
- Knowledge of application of engineering and construction principles.
- Strong project controls experience in planning and scheduling.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex project controls issues.
- Advanced interpersonal, teamwork, creative solution, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability to schedule complex engineering and construction projects.
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy of products.
- Recent advanced level working knowledge of Primavera P6, Excel, and Access.
- Chinese language skills preferred, but English language skills are acceptable.
- LNG Tanks experience preferred, but Energy industry experience is acceptable.
