How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Maintenance Manager is responsible and accountable for safe, compliant execution of the maintenance strategy for the production plant; providing the direction, resources, and motivation to achieve or exceed the goals. The Maintenance Manager will directly oversee all internal maintenance and facilities activities - be it performed by internal and/ or, third parties maintenance teams. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible and accountable for the reliability of the production plant; working in close collaboration with the Global Reliability and Maintenance groups. The Maintenance Manager must lead in a way that demonstrates the importance of “Doing it Safe, Doing it Right, the First Time”. He/she must lead her team to implement change in a feedback rich environment which generates mutual respect and committed team members. Results must be achieved in a sustainable fashion. The Maintenance Manager is expected to be able to thrive in a fast paced and very dynamic environment.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Set clear direction for the maintenance team by providing expectations for daily work, safety, quality and productivity.Prioritizing and delegating work requests, working with production and other functions.Reinforce desired behaviors of the team and redirect undesired behaviors.Form partnerships with all internal customers and maintain alignment on shared strategies and goals.Make decisions with a view towards what is best for ALAM, what is best for the plant, what is best for the individual.Balances quality, productivity, manpower, cost, safety, reliability and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.Drive a culture of "Do It Safely, Do It Right the First Time" on a daily basisIdentify procedural gaps and develop and improve maintenance procedures and strategies to close these gaps.Recommend the ordering of maintenance supplies and equipment and providing technical guidance to the Production, Quality, Safety and Supply Chain Team.Manage the critical spares and inventory for the site with a view towards upkeep the overall reliability for the plant.Leverage on the learnings and sharings from the Global Reliability and Maintenance teams, and roll it out to the plant.Update and maintain standard operating procedures for Maintenance.Provide monthly input on notable accomplishments and regular reports.Track and report critical KPIs (PM/CM ratio, %PM ontime, Equipment up time)Take action to resolve gaps between performance and goals. Holds the team accountable for delivering on their goals. Rewards and recognizes performance which generates results.Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, and productivity) and increase subordinates' skills and capabilities.Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.Train job functions of maintenance personnel by SOP and specifications.Evaluates employees performing tasks which require qualification to assess competency and to assure that employees can perform tasks safely and correctly.Providing oversight and/or audit team member’s Permits, Work orders and procedures on a continuous basis to ensure they meet required standards.Validate that the project layout meets operational and maintainable standards, this includes ergonomics and reasonable maintenance access.Participate in pre-project planning/scheduling meetings and provide input to ensure new assets are built with reliability and maintenance accessibility designed in.Ensure project documentation including MOC, P&ID, layout and EBOM is approved prior to implementing changes.Ensure all parts used meet ALAM’s standards and are consistent with inventory protocol.Ensure documentation of work completed, including hours worked and materials used on each part of the work plan.Responsible for reviewing, proposing and managing all external maintenance partners and their respective contractual obligations.Working in close collaboration with the Supply Chain team for setting up relevant contractual obligations for external maintenance partners, and subsequently auditing for their performance.Maintain multiple qualified critical contractors for maintenance and facility services which are performed by external personnel.Validate contractors’ work are satisfactory and complete for payment.Is responsible for all other duties as assigned.Are you a MATCH?Required Qualifications:At least 5 years experience improving reliability, designing maintenance strategies for production assets, using preventative and predictive maintenance techniques including; vibration monitoring, condition monitoring, oil analysis and thermal analysis.At least 5 years of chemical, semiconductor, or pharmaceutical plant hands on experienceDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team through cooperative, team-based interactionsDemonstrated ability to perform well and lead under pressure and changing prioritiesExperience working with hazardous (toxic, corrosive, flammable) materialsProficiency in reading and accurately interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams, engineering bills of materials (EBOMS), and interlock matricesDemonstrated ability to read and understand standard project management documentation (Gantt charts, charters, etc.)Demonstrated ability to prepare high quality written performance appraisalsStrong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitaskGood written and verbal communicationTrained and experienced at performing root cause investigation and failure analysisExperience utilizing, configuring and customizing a CMMSAdditional Desired QualificationsDegree in Mechanical, Chemical, Reliability, or Industrial EngineeringOur Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
