We’re looking for a seasoned Director of Government Affairs for one of the world’s largest semiconductor companies. This senior executive role will be responsible for managing the company’s interactions with government entities and shaping its public policy strategies. He/she may involve monitoring legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the organization, advocating for policies that align with its interests, and building relationships with key government officials, lawmakers, and relevant stakeholders.Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive government affairs strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and priorities.
· Build and maintain relationships with government officials, legislators, and regulatory agencies to advance the organization's interests and advocate for favorable policies.
· Monitor legislative and regulatory proposals at the local, state, and federal levels, and provide in-depth analysis of their potential impact on the organization.
· Represent the organization at government hearings, meetings, and events to articulate its positions and influence decision-makers.
· Collaborate with industry associations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to build coalitions and alliances that amplify the organization's advocacy efforts.
· Prepare and present advocacy materials, including policy briefs, policy papers, and the testimony.Key Requirements:
  • 12+ years of combined experience in handling government affairs, advocacy, and public affairs in Taiwan, preferably in the industries of High-Tech
(Semiconductors, IT, Telecommunications) or Banking & Financial Services. * Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory organizations and processes. With strong network of contacts within government and regulatory bodies in Taiwan.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communications, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong analytical skills & strategic thinking
  • Education: BS/MS in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or related studies. Full work proficiency in English speaking & writing.
