The Bits to Experience PTE Team team at Meta focuses on inventing new metrology and characterization methods for AR displays to move the state-of-art display and optical technologies forward for AR products, which gives people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Our team is looking for an experienced and driven Semiconductor Test Engineer who will work with cross-functional teams to define the requirements, lead the development, qualification and implementation of optical metrology equipment for characterizing display and subsystems in AR products.Semiconductor Test Engineer ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute test programs for semiconductor devices using various test equipment and software toolsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product development and launchCollect and perform statistical analysis on metrology data to correlate to performance metricsDevelop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reportsLead full cycle of tester development against engineering requirement specifications. Take complete ownership of transferring metrology technologies from R&D to mass productionEstablish and perform tester alignment and calibration procedures and ensure testers are performing as intended and providing accurate dataWork with engineering design team(s) to clarify/refine performance metric definition for test solution implementationTroubleshoot and debug test issues, working closely with other engineers and technicians as neededParticipate in developing of new test methodologies and techniques to improve efficiency and effectivenessStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in semiconductor testingUp to 50% domestic and international travel requiredMinimum QualificationsBS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical disciplineHands-on experience in ATE test program development from concept to implementationDemonstrable understanding of digital logic, microprocessors, and semiconductor devicesFamiliarity with semiconductor test equipment, including ATE systems, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etcProficiency in statistical data analysis using Minitab or JMPProfessional level proficiency in EnglishExemplary communication and presentation skillsProblem-solving skills and attention to detailSkills in programming in python or equivalent languagePreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in the AR/VR fieldFamiliarity with display silicon testingFamiliarity with optics or optical engineeringIn-depth knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Measurement System AnalysisExperience in image processing and algorithm developmentExperience in Zemax, Code V, LightTools, FRED or other optical design/simulation toolsExpertise in ATE Equipment programming (e.g. Teradyne UltraFLEX, Advantest 93k)About MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
