We are looking for a Product Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality connectivity products. In this role, you will:Define and write test programs for photonic integrated circuits and optical engines.Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and test content to balance quality and cost.Collaborate with design and firmware teams on design-for-excellence (DFx) features.Analyze production data to identify issues and coordinate with multiple teams to find solutions.You will work closely with fabrication, design, packaging, validation, and manufacturing teams to ensure top-tier products reach the market.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain test programs, ensuring their effective integration into the manufacturing process.Specify requirements for test hardware like probe cards and loadboards to guarantee thorough testing.Develop manufacturing strategies and testing flows aligned with product health goals.Partner with design and firmware teams to incorporate design-for-test (DFT) features for comprehensive test coverage.Drive initiatives to reduce test time and eliminate unnecessary test sockets to cut costs.Reduce defects per million (DPM) through improved test processes.Identify root causes of production failures and work with teams across design, fabrication, and packaging to improve yields.Basic QualificationsMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.At least 3 years’ experience in photonic integrated circuits (PIC) or silicon photonics (SiPh) product development and testing.Over 6 years of industry experience in product development engineering.Skilled in creating test programs and specifying test hardware for optical communication products.Strong understanding of photonic device operation and fabrication processes to analyze product health from test data.Experienced in collaborating with fabrication fabs and OSAT partners to improve yield and quality.Excellent communication skills with an ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.Preferred QualificationsPhD in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.Proven experience in developing complete manufacturing and testing strategies for photonic integrated circuits.Familiar with industry-standard automated test equipment (ATE) for optical IO product testing.Ability to influence senior leadership and engage with customers effectively.Experience working with photonic simulation tools such as Python, MATLAB, or Verilog to predict design issues before silicon fabrication.This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge photonic technology and make a tangible impact on product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
