The Product Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineering designers to develop advanced technology solutions for key customers. This role involves optimizing design processes across multiple existing systems and requires hands-on involvement in design development, sustaining engineering, and complete lifecycle management of products.Responsibilities:Collaborate directly with marketing and sales teams to evaluate opportunities and perform engineering cost analysis based on defined product scopes.Coordinate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, quality, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, process engineering, electroplating, suppliers, and others to develop products and customized solutions.Play a key role in the design, development, and validation of connector solutions, including but not limited to board-to-board, cable, power, high-speed, and panel mount products.Provide hands-on support to resolve issues during new product development and address quality-related concerns.Ensure adherence to engineering standards such as documentation practices, file management, part modeling, and simulation protocols.Independently plan and prioritize daily tasks, applying technical expertise and sound judgment to problem-solving.Manage a diverse team, including both technical and non-technical personnel.Quickly assess problems, formulate action plans, and implement solutions.Assign projects, monitor progress, and provide support or direction as needed.Define and implement performance metrics for the engineering group.Required Experience:7 to 10+ years of experience in a leadership role involving the design of high-speed or fine-pitch cables and connectors.Proven self-starter with strong leadership capabilities.Demonstrated success in leading technical teams.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal stakeholders and external customers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.Experience with engineering design tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD, or thermal modeling) is a plus.Proficient in GD&T, DFM, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies.Willingness to travel internationally for up to 4 weeks per year.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
