Job Title: Senior Director Project Development
Reports to: Asia Business Development Senior Director
Location: TaipeiOur client in this search is a global carbon free energy solutions providerResponsibilities:
  • Project Development, Business Development and Project Finance function at the beginning and or to others as may be subsequently determine in accordance with the company group’s organizational development.
  • Manage Business Development, Project Development and Government Relationship staffs in Taiwan, assembling and structuring accretive partnerships, transactions, and collaborative initiatives as cross-functional team lead in Taiwan.
  • Establish and manage the local project finance function, building relationships with local and global banks and other financial institutions, and assessing project financing opportunities in Taiwan. Work closely with the regional functional team and management.
  • Engage with key local and regional customers, vendors, governments, financial institutions, potential partners, as well as management and internal teams to assess and implement market expansion (including the number of candidate projects in Taiwan), partnership strategies, and customer strategies.
  • Lead local staffs and responses to requests for proposals and tenders for clean energy from corporate off takers, prepare and structure offers, in close collaboration with company’s Legal team and regional staffs.
  • Review and suggest key hires for the company’s Taiwan entity as its project evolves, work with regional HR to recruit in local staff to achieve target development plan as agreed with management.
  • Monitor and analyze government policies and regulations, corporate buyer procurement mechanisms, and electricity market data to recommend forward-looking strategies for profitable project development and contribute to defining project offerings in Taiwan.
  • Develop the company profile in the Taiwanese marketplace through regular partner and stakeholder contact, participation in professional organizations, and public thought leadership and awareness via attendance and presentations at industry events.
  • Collaborate with regional technical, legal, and financial supporting staff to lead the project and business development process.
  • Other development and organizational activities, as may be required by the Company.
