- Set testing cases and standards for reliability and design qualifications.
- Set compatibility of UPS/PDU Products
- Set standards to ORT labs for temperature/thermal/reliability/ESD/Surge etc.
- Proficient in using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, LCR meters, power meters, and safety testing equipment (Hi-Pot, insulation resistance testers).
- Capable of writing test plans and conducting failure analysis (FA, Failure Analysis).
- Proficiency in MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Experience in environmental testing for power systems (high/low temperature, humidity, vibration, EMC, surge protection).
- Understanding of UL, CE, FCC, IEC 62040, EN 55032, RoHS, REACH, and other power-related safety standards.
- Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), EMI/EMC (Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility), and safety testing requirements.
- Bachelor degree
- Hardware testing/validation experience in UPS/PDU-related products
- Knowledge of networking/radio/Linux operation
- Proficiency in using a multimeter, thermal chamber, data log, and EMC compliance relative
- 5+ years of working experience in the hardware test or design quality test field
- Love to try and play with new technology and learn the ropes to be the lead test engineer
- Familiar with multimeter, Oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, thermal chamber, power supply, Ethernet traffic analyzer, and electronic load
- Good knowledge of setting wireless and Ethernet testing cases.
- Experience in hardware testing on POE or battery-powered devices is a plus
- Experience in PoE testing, ESD, thermal testing, power consumption testing, RMA failure analysis and tracking, reliability testing, 2nd Source verification, mechanical inspection, etc.
- Familiarity with firmware validation and embedded system testing (e.g., microcontrollers in inverters and BMS).
- Familiarity with VRLA (AGM, Gel), Lithium-ion (Li-ion, LFP, NMC), and Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries.
- Understanding of charge and discharge principles, SOC (State of Charge), SOH (State of Health), and DOD (Depth of Discharge).
- Knowledge of internal resistance (IR), cycle life, and self-discharge characteristics of batteries.
- Proficient in using battery testers (Battery Analyzer, BMS Analyzer) for cycle life testing.
- Understanding of UPS charge/discharge characteristics testing to ensure stable power supply under different load conditions.
- Familiarity with cell-balancing techniques to maintain consistency in multi-cell battery packs.
- Knowledge of thermal testing, short circuit protection testing, and surge current testing to ensure UPS battery safety.
- Basic knowledge of MTBF calculation/test
- Understanding of solar cell technologies (monocrystalline, polycrystalline, thin-film, PERC, TOPCon, HJT, etc.).
- Familiarity with PV system architecture, including solar panels, MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking), inverters, and battery storage systems.
- Knowledge of power conversion (DC-DC, DC-AC), grid-tied vs. off-grid systems, and hybrid energy storage solutions.
- Experience in solar inverters, power optimizers, and battery management systems (BMS) testing.
- Understanding of thermal management, aging effects, and degradation mechanisms of solar panels.
- Knowledge of reliability testing methods such as HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test), HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening), and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
- Familiarity with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for solar power systems.
- Experience in PV module degradation analysis (LID - Light-Induced Degradation, PID - Potential-Induced Degradation).
- Ability to perform environmental stress testing (high temperature, humidity, UV exposure, salt mist corrosion, mechanical stress).
- Experience in Lead-Acid batteries and LPF(Li) batteries will be a plus.
