Job ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop device drivers for encoder subsystems (H.264, H.265, JPEG) across Linux and RTOS platforms.Port and adapt drivers for cross-platform compatibility on various operating systems and hardware configurations.Perform low-level debugging and hardware/software integration on pre-silicon (FPGA) and production silicon environments.Conduct system-level performance profiling, power optimization, and memory footprint tuning for embedded video systems.Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and test teams to deliver reliable and production-grade camera functionality.Support key platform features including secure boot, fast boot, and always-on video (AOV) use cases.Participate in platform bring-up, tuning, validation, and field issue debugging.Contribute to cross-functional collaboration within a globally distributed engineering team.Occasional business travel within APAC and other regions may be required.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Proficiency in C programming and embedded systems development.Hands-on experience in developing Linux kernel drivers and/or RTOS drivers (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).Solid understanding of device driver architecture, memory-mapped I/O, interrupt handling, and synchronization techniques.Ability to navigate and integrate software across user space and kernel space boundaries.Preferred QualificationsExperience with ISP (Image Signal Processor) or video encoder pipelines.Knowledge of SoC architecture, including ARM, MMU/IOMMU/SMMU components.Familiarity with FPGA bring-up, hardware emulation platforms, or pre-silicon development workflows.Understanding of real-time constraints and low-latency driver architecture.Familiar with video encoding standards (H.264, H.265, JPEG), and OSD implementations in encoder pipelines.Hands-on experience with secure boot, fast boot, and always-on video (AOV) systems.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi-site teams.
