The main function of a Business Intelligence Engineer is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.
You will be responsible for supporting project delivery by performing critical analysis and research that helps driving suppliers to drive supply chain excellence.Job Responsibilities
- Assist the team on data analysis and report generation, driving suppliers to mitigate continuity of supply issue and prevent aging & excess inventory.
- Gather requirements from key stakeholders and develop digital tools to expedite daily operation tasks, e.g. monitoring aging/pull rate/WOS.
- Work on multiple projects as a project team member.
- Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
- Excellent analytical and data modeling skills: advanced SQL, PBI, Excel macro/what-if-analysis
- Preferred SAP/EDI experience / specific to materials management, BOMs.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
- Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Preferred Supply Chain background - Understanding supply / demand / material planning
- Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines
- A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level
- Proficiency in English and Chinese
