- Lead factory deployments across APAC, ensuring successful implementation from pilot to full-scale rollout
- Act as project lead for application engineering engagements, coordinating with customers, product teams, and global engineering
- Oversee site configuration, automation integration, and training of factory personnel
- Engage with customers to understand inspection challenges and define application requirements
- Evaluate sample parts, design inspection logic, and validate feasibility with support from HQ engineers
- Provide hands-on technical support during setup, trials, and production ramp-up
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of ~10 application engineers across multiple locations
- Strategically grow the team to meet customer demand and regional expansion
- Define and standardize onboarding, deployment, support, and escalation workflows
- Document and optimize installation, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures
- Partner with Sales to support technical discovery and pilot scoping
- Provide product feedback to engineering based on field learnings and unmet needs
- Assist in localization and translation of technical documentation when needed
- 10+ years of experience in application engineering, systems integration, or technical deployment in industrial automation, robotics, or machine vision
- Hands-on experience working with factory teams in automotive, electronics, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing
- Proven ability to lead on-site technical deployments and customer support
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation hardware/software, and factory communication protocols
- Experience collaborating with global product and engineering teams
- Experience deploying AI vision systems or camera-based inspection tools
- Background in startups or early-stage technical roles
- Familiarity with computer vision concepts, lighting techniques, and inspection software
- Ability to translate customer requirements into technical system specifications
- Native-level Mandarin fluency
- Fluent English (written and spoken) for global coordination
- Deep understanding of Chinese/Taiwanese factory culture and on-site communication norms
- Technical degree from a Western institution with English proficiency
- Experience working abroad is preferred
