- Develop and execute a comprehensive licensing strategy to identify and pursue opportunities for in-licensing and out-licensing of drug candidates across therapeutic areas.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to evaluate potential licensing opportunities, including assessment of market size, competitive landscape, and commercial potential.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of licensing agreements, including terms related to intellectual property, financial terms, milestone payments, and royalties.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including R&D, legal, finance, and regulatory affairs, to assess licensing opportunities and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential partners, licensors, and licensees to facilitate ongoing collaboration and successful deal execution.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and partnering meetings to promote our licensing opportunities and expand our network.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on licensing activities, progress, and key performance indicators.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive intelligence to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
- Master degree in life sciences, business administration, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, licensing, or strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of drug development processes, regulatory requirements, and intellectual property considerations.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing licensing agreements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, assess opportunities, and develop actionable plans.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business growth and achieving objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel as needed for business meetings and conferences.
