- This role is responsible for managing and coordinating product certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and carrier-specific requirements across global markets. A key responsibility involves working closely with third-party testing laboratories to witness product testing and monitor project status. This includes reviewing technical reports for EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), Safety, RF (Radio Frequency), PTCRB, GCF (Global Certification Forum), and Energy Efficiency to verify conformance with applicable standards.
- The specialist also oversees and executes carrier certification processes for major network operators such as AT&T, Rogers, and Telstra, ensuring all required documentation and testing are completed for successful product launches. Effective cross-departmental communication is essential in this role, facilitating discussions and alignment on regulatory compliance issues between engineering, product management, and quality teams.
- Additionally, the role proactively integrates certification requirements into the product development lifecycle, ensuring early alignment and minimizing risks of non-compliance or launch delays. This ensures smoother project execution and compliance readiness at every stage of the product development process.
- At least five years of experience's working on regulatory area (carrier certification, PTCRB, GCF, FCC, CE, Safety related)
- Experienced with worldwide regulatory, test requirement and certification standards (such as UL, CE, FCC, ESTI, IEC, IEEE, WEEE, etc.)
- Global carrier cert experience that can drive the execution of a roadmap with the carrier and the JDM's support
- Good spoken and written communication skills in English
