Engineering Manager/Engineering Program Manager

• A Minimum of 15 years engineering experience in related fields (USB-C, DisplayPort or HDMI)
• A Minimum of 5 years R&D team management experience for a team with more than 10 members.
• Multi-disciplinary and multi-site R&D project management experience (EE, ME, SW, FW, FPGA)
• A sense of urgency, passion and understanding of overall business priorities is essential
• Passionate about strong design processes and engineering excellence
• Passionate about meeting commitments and delivering projects on schedule and on budget
• Demonstrated ability to persuade and influence internal and external groups
• BS degree in EE or equivalent field, MS or MBA a plus
• Experience developing business (cost/ tradeoff) analyses
• Excellent communications skills
• Fluent in English
• Strong technical skills, especially in embedded system design and SW quality assurance and methods.
• Individual contributor skills necessary for success include strong customer focus, action/ results oriented, detailed planning and organizing, self-managed, flexible, thrive on change, change agent, able to achieve success in a dynamic environment, passion for people management and a passion for technology
• Previous test equipment development or Standards Committee experience a plus
• Cross cultural awareness and understanding
• Flexibility to travel internationally and to work off hours to support business globally.

• End to end development process (planning, implementation and follow-up) of Unigraf video test equipment (DisplayPort, USB-C and HDMI protocol analyzers and pattern generators).
• The Line manager of Taiwan R&D team
• Participating in high level architectural definition of SW, FW, FPGA, and HW of future products
• Managing product and feature projects, technical backlog and priorities.
• On-site Line management for R&D team in TW
• R&D recruitment and hiring
• Employee performance evaluation and competence development
• R&D subcontractor selection and management
• Design tools (together with Tech Leads, PMs etc. depending on the tool)
• Development environments (test / dev. lab), an It related to that
• Repair and manufacturing operations in TW
• Other local issues as needed
