Join us in this quest to secure the digital world and be part of the trust revolution!The JobWe are seeking motivated Junior Engineers in Taiwan to join our team and contribute to the development of our cybersecurity software products. As a Junior Engineer, you will work closely with our senior development team to design, implement, and test software solutions that enhance the security posture of our clients.Our Engineering and Product ApproachOur startup, at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, is committed to simple, effective user interfaces for complex tasks. We have a flat organization structure and value humility, recognition, and accountability, essential to our customers and team.Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with senior developers and cybersecurity experts to write software features that address cybersecurity challenges.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Ruby on Rails and Javascript
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
- Maintain best practices to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of software products.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to inform software development efforts.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues reported by clients or internal stakeholders.Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience programming with at least one of our programming languages (Ruby on Rails or Javascript)- Strong work ethic- Fluency in English- Able to have flexible working hours to collaborate with our NY office- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.- Knowledge of software development principles, practices, and methodologies (Agile, Scrum).- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001).
- Knowledge of web application security concepts (e.g., OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities).
