You will serve as the primary day-to-day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the provision of value-added cost management services.Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing estimating and cost planning activities, taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.
  • Critically analyzing, challenging, and brainstorming project requirements and deliverables to find creative solutions and alternatives on behalf of clients.
  • Leading a cost management team, ensuring that team members fulfill all accountabilities.
  • Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products, thereby enhancing the service provided to clients.
  • Leading value engineering and life cycle costing exercises.
  • Motivating team members and driving towards positive client outcomes while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Taking line management responsibility.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, with over 12 years of experience in Cost and Commercial Management.
  • Demonstrated experience working on a variety of projects across industry sectors, including but not limited to corporate occupier, high-tech manufacturing, industrial, and hospitality.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to drive outcomes on behalf of clients, develop new business, leverage current opportunities, and coordinate with construction and design teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Proven experience in client management, with substantial experience in client-facing environments that require the use of critical business development and advisory skills to enhance project delivery in value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Excellent proficiency in both English and Chinese.
