Business FunctionRisk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the real-estate valuation vendor management process for the Consumer Banking Risk Management Group, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments on real-estate valuation vendors, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues or concerns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with real-estate valuationvendor relationships
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize real-estate valuation vendor relationships, drive cost efficiencies, and enhance service delivery
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting onreal-estate valuation vendor management activities
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support to the Consumer Banking Risk Management team onreal-estate valuationvendor-related matters
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in real-estate valuation and strong knowledge of real-estate market, and a related field within the real-estate services industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in vendor management, risk management, or a related field within the financial services industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex risk-related issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and present findings to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing vendor management strategies and processes
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and real-estate valuation industry best practices related to real-estate valuation vendor management and risk management
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Basic English speaking, reading and writing ability are needed, and fluent in English communication will be a plus
