
Power Engineer (FW/HW)

- Define Power System firmware requirements for the power solution.
- Design and develop the power supply product for systems.
- Develop and define system related power distribution and power supply test plan, test procedures, test fixtures design and specifications.
- Engage the System level power supply verification.
- Work with vendor to finalize test plans and deliverables and track these for on time delivery.
- Interface with vendor and review their test data. Provide feedback on validity of the data.
- Analyze failures, provide solutions, and work with ODMs, Suppliers and System teams for implementing solutions.
- Qualify and verify hardware and firmware used in power solution and integration into host system. Participates as a member of project teams with system engineers for high quality power solutions.
- Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses and empirical testing on new and modified designs.
- Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, current/voltage probes, power meters, data loggers, AC/DC sources, electronic loads, power supplies.
- Familiar with digital power firmware design and firmware debug(with different DSPs) and it is a plus of basic power stage hardware (PFC, FBPS, LLC) design.
- Understanding of power solution topology well, architecture knowledge, and power supply design capability.
- Ability to work independently in a project team.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the engineering levels.
- Good at review and analysis of design documents (Schematics, PCB Layout, Mechanical drawings, Test reports, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; mastery local language and English. Inter-working with multinational functional groups.
- Ability to design, develop and improve products and processes.
- Working knowledge of software applications like Microsoft related tools etc.
- Detailed technical knowledge of network and system security.
- Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and authentication systems.
- Experience with firmware security design and implementation.
- Experienced with security technologies: Root of Trust, etc.
- Experience with ST_STM32G4 /TI_C2000 series or Microchip-dsPIC/CEC1712 applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic engineering. Master or above will be a plus.
