Vishay General Semiconductor Taiwan Ltd is currently seeking applicants for an Infrastructure Support Analyst (Service Desk), IT to join our growing family. In this position, you will be responsible for providing first line Service Desk support to all Vishay computer and network users, assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone, email, or remote desktop, in compliance with Vishay’s Global IT Policies.Job Location:Vishay General Semiconductor Taiwan, Ltd is the headquarter of Diodes Division, one of the world's leading manufacturers of discrete semiconductors--Diodes, Rectifiers and TVS. We are one of the earliest foreign electronic companies established in Taiwan. We provide you with responsible and ethical leadership and encourage open communication with our employees, governmental agencies, suppliers, contractors and industry groups. We are located in the heart of Xindian District, New Taipei City, where the public transportation and living functions are quite convenient, just 10 minutes walking distance from Qizhang MRT Station and Yulong City Mall.What you will be doing:
  • Problem Analysis, Resolution and Prevention
  • Provide 1st line technical support, answering queries via phone, email or remote desktop support to resolve hardware or software issues
  • Support users in the use of Vishay-standard computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
  • Escalate more complex calls to the relevant IT support groups
  • Support new projects and enhance equipment automation
What you will bring along:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in technical support or service desk/help desk operations
  • Familiar with desktop hardware and operating systems, office software (MS Office) and ITSM and ITSM tools
  • Good command of English
