- Draft, review and negotiate complex agreements including but not limited to licensing, co-marketing, co-promotion, manufacturing & supply, wholesaler, distribution & warehousing services and promotion agreements.
- Provide strategic legal advice & support in business development projects, commercial transactions, marketing, pre & post product launch and clinical trial related issues.
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to all GBU, R&D and GSF including but not limited to healthcare related law, competition law, commercial law, civil laws and privacy law (by working with DPO).
- Manage investigations, litigations and disputes including investigations by any government agencies, including but not limited to the Food and Drug Administration, Privacy Commission and Competition Commission.
- Monitor legal environment development, understand and anticipate relevant new legislations and enforcement trends, and advise leadership team, GBU, R&D and GSF on the legal interpretation, implications and opportunities for the company’s business strategy and operations.
- Engage business leaders to promote risk prevention and mitigation mindset for business operations.
- Manage corporate formality and restructuring work in cooperation with Sanofi Group’s Company Law unit.
- Provide legal training to GBU, R&D and GSF.
- Manage performance, relationship and budget with outside counsels.
- Create contract templates based on real business needs, supervise contract specialist and conduct relevant trainings.
- Qualified to practice law in Taiwan.
- Preferably with Master Degree in a reputable local or foreign university.
- At least 10 years’ post qualification experience, preferably a combination of private practice (in a reputable law firm) and in-house experience (preferably in a multinational company and/or in the pharmaceutical field) or just in private practice in a reputable law firm.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial, civil, competition, anti-corruption and privacy law and preferably healthcare related law.
- Excellent legal, strategic and analytical skills
- Excellent drafting and communication skills in both Chinese and English
- Able to communicate complex legal issues and risks in terms that non-legal colleagues can understand
- Able to prioritize, manage expectations, deadlines and deliver within an appropriate timeframe
- Able to stay firm in demanding situation and work in a highly autonomous role
- Able to manage conflicts and stressful situations in an effective and efficient way
- Able to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business and effectively & efficiently collaborate transversally
- Able to lead and develop team or peers
